History

The Clinique Auditive Laniel wasn’t born yesterday. The business changed form and also the vocation along the years but it is still the Laniel family that runs it.

  • Around the 1920’s, Albert begins his career as a jeweller and wacthmaker. (he sells the business to his son Laurent in 1950)
  • In 1938, Larry works with his father as a jeweller and watchmaker. (he sells the business to his son Claude in 1970)
  • In 1968, Claude started to adjust hearing aids, which incited him to pass his exams and got his diploma. That year, the hearing domain started in the company. In 1990, the jewelry store was closed definitely to make place entirely for the hearing aids business.
  • In 1993, Josée, the daughter of Claude joins the family business as an administrator.
  • In 1994, Eric, the son of Claude, finishes his studies in hearing aid acoustician and joins the family business also.
  • In 1994, we opened a clinic in Huntingdon.
  • January 12th, 2006, after a fire that destoided entirely the office at the 7 du Centenaire, the business operates temporarily in an office on Victoria Street. Le new site of the family business becomes de 35 rue Grande-Ile still in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield in September 2007.
  • In 2012, we opened a clinic in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
  • In 2015, we opened a clinic in Beauharnois.
  • 2018 : 50th anniversary of the company.
  • 2020: Opening of a 2nd clinic in Valleyfield, on chemin Larocque, in the clinic Batisseurs.
  • 2022: Opening of 2 clinics in Ormstown and St-Lazare, now totaling 7 clinics in the region
  • 2023: 55th birthday of the company

  • Consultant and trainer for a manufacturer of programmable hearing aids for Quebec from 1998-2000.
  • Winner of the company of the year (1 to 9 employees) at the CCRSV Business People Gala in 2008.

  • Administrator for the Ordre des Audiothésistes du Québec from 1994 to 2001.
  • Treasurer for the Ordre des Audiothésistes du Québec from 1998 to 2001.
  • Member of NovaSon Group.
  • Mérite du Conseil Interprofessionnel in 2004
  • Recipient of the business of the Year Award (1 to 9 employees) at the CCRSV’ Businesspersons’ gala in 2008.
